FISHING What a great break this was! Weather was 60 and gorgeous! My brother Mike is an experienced bass fisherman and last weekend he didn't have any tournaments, so I got to see him in action with his fancy boats and equipment. He made me hold this little fish so he could get a photo of it. We had lots of fun. Illinois waters are in good shape, as we learned from University Of Illinois grad students who gave us Target gift cards to interview us. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE!
CYCLING Madison offers many kilometers of smooth, paved trails throughout the city, and the paths are suitable for cycling, running, skating- anything! The Trek store in Madison held a nice open house/book signing for Johan Bruyneel and he told the crowd about the real reason why his Astana team has been banned from Tour de France. Johan also assured them that his team will be invited to 2009 TDF. Maybe I will get a chance to talk about it all on upcoming Fitness Buff Radio Show. Johan talked about the politics of pro cycling. Not many team directeurs can claim 8 TDF wins, eh?
